Wikipedia defines Purple Prose as:

A term of literary criticism, purple prose is used to describe passages, or sometimes entire literary works, written in prose so overly extravagant, ornate or flowery as to break the flow and draw attention to itself. Purple prose is sensuously evocative beyond the requirements of its context. It also refers to writing that employs certain rhetorical effects such as exaggerated sentiment or pathos in an attempt to manipulate a reader's response. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_prose )

Join us Sunday and shamelessly take advantage of this fertile ground for hilarity. Let's laugh ourselves silly, as we learn how to avoid using Purple Prose in our daily writing.

Whoopee Cushions and Silly String provided; bring your own Chocolate and Coffee.

Totally sorry I missed it tonight! I had it set up and java at my lunch! It's been happening a lot recently. I'm upgrading my cache memory to see if that helps.

Catch y'all at the next one! I hope...

I don't always see see things right the first I look. I thought Writerschat was just another wickedly funny wat to say Writers shat. I have to giggle at myself constantly when I pull these kind of stunts. Found your site over in a post at humor_writers. Hope you don't mind if I drop in maybe the next time you have the writerschat. I'm a new guy still trying to get myself totally immersed in this comedy writing world.
